The Life Poster Redux

Back in 2005 Mike Matas published instructions on how to create what's called a Life Poster. It's a 20" x 30" poster that holds 98 pictures.

Back then it was done using iPhoto or Adobe Photoshop.

Fast-forward to today where I'm offering the Print Preset for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom that accomplishes the same thing.

The easiest way to do this is to create a collection of 98 pictures (you can use the quick collection, by pressing the keyboard shortcut B). Afterwards, you go to the print module where you'll have downloaded the 20 x 30 Poster preset.

Once there, just select the collection that you're going to use and click Command+A (Control+A) to select all the pictures in the collection. This should populate the poster.

Because you are in a collection, you can re-arrange the order of the pictures, to create a more pleasing layout.

From here, all you need is to print to a file, by changing the print control from Printer to JPEG File.

All you'll need to do is take your file to Kinko's or send the file to your favorite Online Printer.
